شمايكل الى مانشستر سيتي

وقع الحارس الدانمركي الدولي السابق بيتر شمايكل عقدا مع فريق مانشستر سيتي الانجليزي لكرة القدم الصاعد الى الدرجة الممتازة في الموسم المقبل. ولعب شمايكل الموسم الحالي مع استون فيلا بعد موسمين في البرتغال مع سبورتينغ لشبونة، بيد ان مدرب الفريق الانجليزي غريام تايلور فضل الاستغناء عن خدماته مفضلا اشراك الفنلندي بيتر اينكلمان في المراحل الاربع المتبقية من الدوري على اساس الاعتماد عليه الموسم المقبل. وكان شمايكل (37 عاما) تألق في صفوف مان يونايتد واحرز معه 10 القاب اهمها الثلاثية (الدوري والكأس وبطولة اوروبا عام 1999)، وقد وصفه مدرب مان يونايتد اليكس فيرغوسون بأنه (افضل حارس مرمى انجبته الملاعب العالمية). وكان نهائي دوري ابطال اوروبا عام 1999 آخر مباراة لعبها شمايكل مع الفريق الانجليزي وانتقل بعدها الى سبورتينغ لشبونة وساهم في احراز الاخير اللقب للمرة الاولى بعد غياب طويل.
