بيست ينتظر نداءً آلياً بتوافر كبد

اعلن نجم مان يونايتد الانجليزي السابق جورج بيست انه لا يطيق الانتظار لاجراء عملية زراعة كبد بعد سنوات من ادمانه الكحول. ويحمل بيست (55 عاما) الذي لعب ايضا لمنتخب ايرلندا الشمالية جهاز نداء آليا ليخبره بتوافر كبد لزراعته له وموعد وجوده في مستشفى (كرومويل) بلندن لاجراء العملية، وقال بيست لصحيفة ميل اون صنداي (لابد انني الشخص الوحيد في العالم الذي يتلهف على دخول المستشفى لا اطيق الانتظار للانتهاء من هذا الموضوع). ونقل بيست الى المستشفى في مارس من عام 2000 بعد ان انهار بسبب تعرض كبده لتلف شديد وحذره الاطباء ان احتساءه كأسا اخرى من الخمر كفيل بأن يودي بحياته. وكجزء من برنامجه العلاجي زرعت انسجة في معدته لتجعله يشعر بالغثيان اذا تناول اي جرعة من الخمر. واضاف (ما زال الاحتمال قائما انه اذا وضع اي شخص كأسا امامي فانني سألتقطها). واردف بيست (اعلم انه سيقتلني وما زالت لدي كثير من الاشياء الرائعة في حياتي التي تحول بيني وبين ان اعاود الشراب).
