وكان هاني الصقر حاضرا وحده في الوقت الذي غاب فيه لاعبو القادسية عن مباراتهم امام الساحل وقاد فريقه الى الفوز 2/1 (بالهدف الذهبي) بعدما سجل الهدفين ليتأهل القادسية الى النهائي لملاقاة الكويت. ويسجل للاعبي الساحل (الجسارة والشجاعة) بعدما صمدوا بعشرة لاعبين طيلة (55) دقيقة بعد طرد لاعبهم البرازيلي فرناندو . وكانوا الاقرب للفوز وسجلوا هدف السبق بواسطة السنغالي ادريسا كيتا بضربة رأس قوية من خارج منطقة الجزاء في الدقيقة (90) الا ان المتألق هاني الصقر والذي لعب بديلا لناصر درويش سجل هدفي فريقه الاول بتسديدة رأسية (91) واضاف الهدف الذهبي في الدقيقة (100) بعدما تابع كرة ساقطة من حارس مرمى الساحل حسن السهلي. عجز القادسية من انهاء المباراة لصالحه في الوقت الاصلي وهو الاكثر عددا وظهر لاعبوه (كسالى) في اداء مهامهم ولم تكن لهم في المباراة سوى تسديدة واحدة من الناشئ مساعد ندا ردت العارضة كرته القوية. اما الساحل فقد ضاعت منه فرصة ذهبية للوصول الى النهائي بعدما انفرد لاعبه محمد السهلي في الوقت الاضافي وسدد الكرة الى جانب القائم.
