بلاتر يرحب بتنظيم استراليا للمونديال |

تسعى استراليا الى التقدم بخطط لاستضافة بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم عام 2014. وقال رئيس وزراء ولاية فيكتوريا ستيف براكس ان اعلانا رسميا يتضمن تفاصيل الخطة الاسترالية لاستضافة البطولة الكبرى سيعلن يوم الاثنين المقبل الذي يتزامن مع زيارة سيب بلاتر رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) للبلاد.
واضاف براكس ان نجاح سيدني في تنظيم اولمبياد عام 2000 اظهر قدرة استراليا على استضافة بطولات رياضية كبرى. وقال براكس ان طلب استضافة كأس العالم في 2014 سيحصل على دعم كامل من الحكومة الاتحادية وحكومات الولايات. واضاف براكس (نحن نفوز بتنظيم هذه الاحداث بسبب سمعتنا المتميزة).
من جهته رحب رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم سيب بلاتر (فيفا) بخطط استراليا للتقدم لاستضافة كأس العالم عام 2014 وحث الحكومة الاسترالية على دعم هذه الخطوة. وقال بلاتر للصحافيين في سيدني (امكانية تنظيم كأس العالم مبادرة واقعية يسعدني ان يحدث ذلك بهذه السرعة بعد كأس العالم 2002 واظهرت استراليا للعالم كيف انها تستطيع تنظيم أي حدث). |
